The Personal Injury Commission (Commission) is recruiting for a Manager Communications and Events to join our team.

About the role:


This is a unique opportunity for a special person to join the Commission as the Manager Communication and Events, reporting directly to the Principal Registrar.


In this unique and varied role, you will lead a small team responsible for developing and implementing the Commission's communications and stakeholder engagement programs, ensuring communications, education campaigns and stakeholder events build and sustain great relationships with key stakeholder groups and tribunal users, and promote public confidence in the Commission.

The Commission is an independent statutory tribunal within the New South Wales justice system, committed to providing a transparent and independent dispute resolution service.

In this Role you will:


  • Lead the development and implementation of communications, stakeholder engagement and education strategies to ensure that communication activities for all key stakeholder groups are well planned, easily accessible and aligned with the Commission's objects and strategic priorities
  • Lead the preparation of the Personal Injury Commission News, the Commission's Annual
  • Review and other key publications, ensuring all communications are of a high quality
  • Oversee the Commission's website and myPIC intranet content and management.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of planning, development and implementation for a range of communications, events, conferences and education projects, to ensure resource and reporting requirements are met.
  • Provide timely and relevant expert, strategic communications and stakeholder engagement advice and professional support to the President, Principal Registrar and executive team to inform decision making and achieve the Commission's object.
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to foster collaboration, leverage expertise and maximise engagement opportunities.
Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $134411 base plus superannuation
