- Financial Oversight and Reporting: Oversee the financial aspects of debt collections, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. Prepare, review, and distribute customized financial reports for clients, highlighting key metrics and insights that support business decisions.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team comprising a full-time accountant and other staff members, ensuring optimal productivity and professional growth. Foster a collaborative team environment with a focus on achieving business goals.
- Client Relations: Act as the primary finance contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing detailed analyses and explanations of debt recovery reports and outcomes.
- Trust Money Management: Manage daily remits of trust monies, including accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting to ensure transparency and trust with clients.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy. Develop and enforce best practices in financial management within the debt collection department.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all financial practices within the team comply with ethical standards and legal regulations, maintaining the highest levels of integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within the debt collection industry.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and trust account management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with clients and team members.
