About the role:


A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Pathology Collector with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team.

Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care.

The successful applicant's duties will include the collection of pathology samples, liasing with medical and laboratory staff with some administrative duties.

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Pathology Collector who possess a passion for person centred care. The successful applicant will also preferably have experience in the vacutainer method of pathology collection.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
2.

12 months' experience in the vacutainer method of collection, extensive knowledge of venepuncture, with appropriate qualifications and/or experience in relevant area of pathology.


  • Demonstrated high quality customer service skills, coupled with a professional appearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Flexibility with working hours and ability to travel between pathology collection centres
  • Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety and effective communication / interpersonal skills experience in a work setting
