Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our Global Forwarding division based in Westmeadows, Victoria.

You will successfully manage a team and oversee warehouse management activities including manual handling of freight, forklift operations and other relating duties.

It is the Warehouse Manager's responsibility to ensure the security and safety for cargo transitioning within air and sea, for ocean freight chain of receipt and redelivery.

This role will manage the Value-added Service (VAS) operation.

Additionally, there will be opportunity for overtime as part of this role, applicable overtime and penalty rates will apply.

As the Warehouse Manager, you will:

Implement quality control techniques and procedures through regular Toolbox meetings, promoting safe work practices and regulatory compliance checks.
Maximise profitability and return through effective planning, supervising and coordination of essential duties.
Maintain a highlevel of communications and promote a proactive, teamorientated and safety focused team culture.
Supervise, manage, coach and mentor staff to meet organisational requirements.
Regularly liaise with management, suppliers, and customers regarding distribution operations
Manage our ABF Customs 77G Depot
Ensure compliance to DAWR & RACA accreditations

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Previous experience within a similar role
International Freight Forwarding.
The ability to lead, train and mentor staff to achieve business outcomes.
High attention to detail and the ability to meet competing deadlines.
Outstanding communication skills written and verbal.
Demonstrated knowledge of Dangerous Goods, Handling and Stowage requirements.

Computer literacy skills

MS Office Suite word, excel and outlook.
RACA accreditation, DAWR Approved Arrangement accreditation, DG air accreditation preferred.
