DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (Residential & Mixed-use) - Sydney
Company Background:
Our client is an Australian PE Firm with an incredible growth trajectory that acquires and develops all of their real estate interests in-house.
This portfolio sits broadly across residential, commercial and retail sectors and is a platform which is rapidly growing with significant capital backing and balance sheet.
They are currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Development Manager who is autonomous and can provide best in class development management services and advice to the Exec team.
- Lead projects with ownership from an end-to-end view across the portfolio;
- Manage existing developments to ensure alignment with overarching strategy;
- Add value from an acquisitions perspective, highlighting opportunities in the market, helping in the technical DD;
- Assist broadly across development leasing where necessary;
- Internal and external stakeholder management;
- Establish and maintain relationships with key tenants where relevant;
- Detailed design and visibility over tenders, contract administration, procurement and cost management of projects;
- Preparation of internal project feasibilities and cost reporting;
- Assist on key projects providing general assistance to GM where required;
- Undertake additional responsibilities or tasks as required.
Expected background and education requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in building, engineering, project management urban design, business, land economics or other relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent industry experience;
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in the development management industry having seen multiple projects through from acquisition to completed delivery;
- Proven understanding of and experience in project and financial management in property development and construction industries;
- Proven understanding of and experience in cost planning, cost control, forecasting and commercial administration;
- Demonstrated experience in successfully leading project teams to achieve agreed outcomes
