The Role
Centacare has been providing disability support to the community for more than 30 years.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Executive Manager is a pivotal senior leadership role at Centacare, responsible for the management, service development and efficient operation of the Care and Support Services Unit.


The Care and Support Services (CaSS) unit provides a range of services across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia including Day Options, In Home Support, Supported Independent Living and My Aged Care.


This position will suit an accomplished and astute executive with the strategic thinking, leadership, financial acumen, interpersonal and consultative skills necessary for success.


What you need to bring

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification(s) in health, social services and/or business
  • High level strategic leadership experience with the ability to lead, develop and implement Unit wide strategy
  • Experience leading a large and diverse Unit towards a common client centred goal
  • Ability to undertake high level financial analysis to ensure accurate budgets are forecast and managed
  • Experience in fostering high level stakeholder relationships and actively participation in Sector wide advocacy
  • The ability to lead and manage Unit wide projects to ensure that established outcomes are achieved
  • Ability to manage change and drive forward strategies and objectives in a participant focused environment
  • Proven experience at a senior leadership level, and in promoting and developing teamwork and an effective work environment
  • Extensive experience in initiating, planning and implementing projects in complex environments
  • Experience in development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated success relating to tender writing and grant submissions
  • An understanding and working knowledge of best practice Human Resources Management
  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills
  • Ability to effectively navigate various forms of technology/ software
  • Valid NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC)
  • Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
  • Ability to travel between sites
  • Oncall responsibilities may be required as per individual program(s) needs
  • Ability to do some work outside of standard hours when required
  • Ability to comply with Centacare Policy COVID19 Vaccination requirements

Desirable

  • Management experience in a notforprofit setting
  • Membership with a relevant professional association
