We are currently recruiting a Lead Instrument & Controls Engineer to join a Global EPC in Perth, Australia as part of its Operations APAC West business.
This is an initial 12 month opportunity which is expected to be an ongoing requirement for a key energy client.
The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Instrument & Controls Discipline Lead and working across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery, across some of world's most technically challenging brownfields Oil & Gas projects.
Responsibilities:
Actingasfocalpointfor Instrument & Controls Engineeringactivitiesacrosstheprojectlifecycle(Concept, FEED, detailed design) to produce fit for purpose solutions.
Producingcosteffective Instrument & Controls Engineeringreports, documentsanddeliverables Supportingandmentoring Instrument & Controls Engineersand Designersandprovidetechnical assistance as required Providingtechnicalinputtobusiness development,earlycustomer engagement,tendersand studies Actingasa Technical Authority,ensuringtechnicalintegrity ofallworkperformedonprojects.
Ensuringallassigned workiscarriedoutincompliancewithagreedbudget andschedule.Qualifications:
In addition you will have: Knowledge of SPI for the development of I&C engineering deliverables, control systems, shutdown PLC hardware and software design Extensive design and knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian)Proven experience managing risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles Be prepared to undertake site visits either onshore / offshore What will set you apart will be your in-depth Instrument knowledge supported by relevant experience in design and operations.
