Immediately available senior L&D Advisor required to support busy project.

Based in Redfern office, with 3 direct reports, your leadership and guidance is required to ensure best practice in their L&D programmes for this busy project.


Responsibilities include the following:

  • Through partnership with the Senior L&D Consultant, the HR team and the business, understands the strategic goals of the business, and requirements in terms of training opportunities
  • Able to support implementation of learning and talent development initiatives to the HR GMs / Business Partners in supporting the Business Unit's Business and People plans.
  • Contribute to the development of a Learning and Development Plan with the Senior L&D Consultants
  • Management and delivery of the agreed L&D plan.
  • Have an awareness of the business processes undertaken throughout project life cycles, and be able to identify skill gaps, and recommend learning interventions in order to build capability
  • Advocate, communicate and embed Australian or Global Learning and Development initiatives in the Business Unit.
  • Ensure the communication of common requirements and gaps in Property, contributing to the Australian and Global L&D strategies as appropriate.
  • In collaboration with the business, and using Adult Learning Principles, assist in the design of technical, job specific program design, with clear and articulate objectives through engagement of vendors or relevant industry bodies.
  • May be involved in either Australian or Global projects where program design is required, including the development of session plans and outlines, facilitators guides, participant workbooks, any additional slides and background notes, assessment criteria
  • Work with HR Services L&D team to manage logistics, venue and LMS requirements.
  • Evaluate each program and provide feedback to L&D Mgr, HR Business Partner and Business Stakeholders
  • Provide reporting and measurement information back to the Head of L&D for communication to HR and the Business unit, and include recommendations for continuous improvement and best practices
  • Monitor, maintain and manage the Business Capabilities curriculum
  • Work with HRS L&D team to manage all the logistics for the curriculum
  • Identifying and addressing gaps in the curriculum through consultation with the business
  • Relevant degree in HR, Adult Education, Organisational Psychology or Business highly desirable
  • Solid experience in L&D space at senior level ideally in project driven environment
  • Excellent facilitation skills in behavioural and leadership training situations
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Desirable
  • Experience in program management
