  • Remuneration: Level 6 Position, $91,472 $97,579 full time equivalent (pro rata 0.8 FTE plus 17% superannuation)
  • Employment Type: Part Time, Fixed Term for 3 years (this is a part time role with 28 hours spread across 4 days per week. This role is predominantly based on campus at UNSW)

Position Summary:


The Executive Assistant plays a key role within the National Office of the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) and provides high level executive support to the CSI Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and CSI National Industry Director.

The role requires exceptional organisational and communication skills, professionalism, judgment, and initiative, while using considerable technical skills and discretion when making decisions.

The position will ensure the smooth operation of the CSI National Office, that administrative and business matters are actively prioritised, handled efficiently and that activities are managed to enable the CEO and National Industry Director to make the most effective use of their time.


CSI is led by a national team (CSI National) and is comprised of four university partner centres based in the business schools of four of Australia's leading universities: UNSW Sydney (CSI UNSW), University of Western Australia (CSI UWA), Flinders University (CSI Flinders) and Swinburne University of Technology (CSI Swinburne).


Accountabilities:

  • Provide executive and administrative support to the CEO and National Industry Director exercising initiative, judgment and confidentiality at all times.
  • Ensure the CEO and Industry Director are wellprepared for all engagements by driving the coordination of timely briefing materials.
  • Where appropriate, attend meetings alongside the CEO and/or National Industry Director and coordinate follow up activities.
  • Support the CSI National leadership team by establishing internal cultural activities such as organising social events on a quarterly basis.
  • Act as the Secretariat for CSI Board, National Strategic Committee, CSI Advisory Council, National Executive Team and other committees as required, including meeting coordination, agenda and logistics and where requested, documentation of minutes and actions, including ensuring follow up actions are managed in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Plan and organise events, workshops and offsite meetings, ensuring smooth execution.

Skills and Experience:

To be considered you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably supporting Clevel executives.
  • Enthusiasm, integrity, and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset, and desire to embrace learning opportunities, change and welcome feedback and alternative viewpoints as an avenue for personal and professional development.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy, agility and resourcefulness under pressure.
  • Superior organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities, respond to changing priorities, and meet competing deadlines by using judgment and initiative.
  • Ability to proactively anticipate and respond to needs of CEO and National Industry Director.
