Head of People and Culture

Salary:
$180,000 - $200,000 per annum + super & bonus


Employment Type:
Permanent, Full-time with hybrid working of 4 days in the office


Location:
Brisbane with parking on site.


Reporting to:
Chief Operating Officer


You will lead:

People & Culture Manager, People & Culture Business Partner, TA Partner, People & Culture Advisor, 2x People & Culture Coordinators.

About the Role:


As the Head of People and Culture, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of a contemporary People and Culture strategy to support the achievement of the business's broader strategic plan.

You'll be the architect for the company's talent strategy and people related initiatives, and ensure all people related data is clearly understood and reported back to key stakeholders.

Business partnering with C-level executives and other key stakeholders, you'll drive the development of all programs related to "people" issues and opportunities, in addition to staying ahead of compliance issues to prevent legal proceedings and reputational risks.


Deliverables:


  • Promoting and delivering a HR framework that facilitates the achievement of the organisation's vision and strategic and business objectives
  • Enabling the organisation to effectively manage all people related matters
  • Coaching and supporting all staff to realise productivity and efficiencies
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to build on culture
  • Effectively resourcing and supplying quality talent to the business, and advising on organisational structure, role design and renumeration
  • Providing high level analysis and reporting of people related data to relevant stake holders
  • Implementing the Workforce Competency Framework to strategically align staff skills and competencies with the needs and demands of the business and our evolving customer expectations
  • Implementing the Workforce Strategy to engage the workforce and build a culture that puts the customer at the centre and aligns objectives, targets, rewards and recognition with customer needs
  • Leading and managing the People Team, ensuring delivery of highquality HR/ER to the organisation
  • Providing consultative and engaging leadership in developing, enhancing and executing organisation development
  • Identifying need for, initiates, and leads major people related change processes across the organisation
  • Nurturing, shaping and sustaining a cultural change program that supports collaborative learning and stimulates innovative "cando" thinking and actions in our people
  • Working closely with the senior leadership team to make culture a strong component of the organisation's overall strategy, ensuring the culture and behaviours support strategic direction
  • Leading transformational change, inspired by what can be achieved through an engaged and skilful workforce, whose wellbeing is central to the way we do business
  • Contributing as a member of the Csuites executive management team to the achievement of the vision, strategic and business objectives
  • Ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance with applicable human and industrial relations Acts and Regulations.
  • Developing and implementing policies and guidelines consistent with the organisation's strategic direction and priorities
  • Ensuring sound financial stewardship of the HR and OH&S budget, e.g., monitor expenditure, set priorities, ensure any variations to expenditure are planned and reported with "nosurprises"
  • Developing team objectives, roles and responsibilities in line with overall objectives, and with clear timelines and measures of success
  • Creates a positive culture across the organisation, where it is safe to express and manage emotions, and drives and builds organisational capability in emotional intelligence
  • Driving and supporting improvements in operations that enhance productivity, efficiency and effectiveness whilst maintaining safety and minimise risk

What we're looking for:


  • Preferably, you will possess extensive experience within the retail, hospitality, or service sectors, particularly in roles involving multisite management.
  • Mobilises others to tackle complex and ambiguous challenges
  • Translates strategic imperatives into bold and inspiring longerterm
