- Drive continuous improvement in current metallurgical testing processes and characterisation programs.
- Ensure seamless handover and optimal utilization of geometallurgical data among stakeholders.
- Efficiently coordinate geometallurgical activities to prioritise and address business requirements.
- Provide invaluable support to stakeholders leveraging operational expertise and comprehensive orebody knowledge through collaborative projects.
- Perform regular analyses to explore correlations between key metrics and material characteristics, fostering the development of geometallurgical domains.
- Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Process, or Chemical Engineering.
- Embrace a robust safety culture with a keen sense of risk perception.
- Proven experience and comprehension of processing technologies and equipment.
- Demonstrated expertise in iron ore metallurgical characterisation.
- Proficiency in metallurgical accounting, QA/QC, and adeptness in reporting.
- Experience in designing, executing, and managing metallurgical test work flowsheets.
- Strong grasp of statistical data analysis, relevant tools, and proficient computer skills (MS Office).
- Exceptional technical writing and reporting capabilities.
- Possession of a current WA C-Class driving license.

Are you a driven Senior Metallurgist seeking to make a substantial impact? Join our Exploration team and take charge of metallurgical support while spearheading the management of geometallurgical activities to enhance Fortescue's future development projects.
This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to assume a pivotal role within our Exploration team, overseeing all material characterisation and metallurgical-related studies.
Operating on a Monday to Friday roster in our Perth office, you'll oversee and ensure the highest standards in managing all metallurgical test work programs and activities.
