Introduction:


Regis Resources is an ASX-listed Perth based gold production and exploration company with a proven management team and a successful track record of developing mid-sized gold operations.

Regis is a purely Australian gold miner with operations in Western Australia and New South Wales.


The current mine site locations are in the WA Goldfields region with multiple mining operations (both open pit and underground) as well as a number of satellite pits.

Description:

The Opportunity


The Principal Metallurgist is a key senior technical position responsible for providing oversight, direction and coordination of all aspects of metallurgical processes for existing and potential operating mines.

Similarly, you will provide high level support with process engineering and controls of major projects including power supply, water and improvement / ESG-related projects.

Key to the role is ensuring work is analysed and prepared, approved and completed safely, on time and on budget as required by Life Of Mine planning.


This is role is based in our modern well-appointed corporate offices in Subiaco, however there is an expectation of occasional site travel.

About the Role

Develop strategies, priorities, programs, forecasts and budgets relating to Life of Mine related metallurgical requirements and other capital projects;
Provide technical input into the assessment of new mineral resources/reserves, including through appropriate metallurgical test work activities;
Provide technical input into feasibility studies for development projects, potential acquisitions, upgrade of existing facilities and the purchase of major capital equipment, including for ESG-related projects;
Provide advice and assistance to optimise metallurgy-related activities at operating sites, including in assisting with operational troubleshooting on plant and equipment;
Monitor activities of site metallurgy and processing including e.g. safety compliance, metallurgical performance, plant performance, cyanide management, tailings management and cost;
Assist, monitor and report on all site-based process plant capital project activities;
Mentor and develop metallurgical personnel utilising proactive and open communication, supporting management, supervise development programs and establish high standards of performance; and
Preparation of internal and external reports on activities (including; operations tailings management, cyanide) as required or directed.


Skills and Experiences:

About You

Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering;
Significant relevant technical experience in a similar role, within the resources sector;
Demonstrate ability to manage key stakeholder relationships - internally and externally;
Proven project management skills and well-rounded business acumen; and
Leverage your experience to help support career development pathways for our metallurgical team members.
