The Opportunity

  • Reporting to the Alliance General Manager, the People & Culture Manager will be assigned to Gippsland Line Upgrade Project, this opportunity will allow for great career exposure, on a significant project for UGL and the wider community.

Key responsibilities include.

  • Delivery of the Alliance P&C strategy
  • Coaching and ongoing development of the Alliance Leadership team
  • Create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Alliance Vision and Values
  • Ensure compliance with the Project's State Requirements Target including Social Procurement, Aboriginal Engagement and Priority Job Seeker Targets.
  • Provide advice, advocacy and specialist expertise regarding a broad range of IR and ER issues
  • Visit sites regularly to assist with onsite issues and attend to any HR tasks as required.
  • Coordination/assistance with internal Training Programmes for staff.

Requirements to be successful

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in a similar role Project or Alliance role
  • Demonstrated competency in managing the various HR functions of a Project or Alliance environment
