Wood APAC Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals.
This portfolio of projects ranges from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally.Our teams are based in Perth & Brisbane, however, we are supporting a client through some project and asset optimization packages in their facility on site.
In this role you will join the team on site to deliver the scopes of work for a battery metal facility.
You will be an integral role in our team, bringing your knowledge insight and passion for delivering quality and efficiency for our clients' developments.
As a key part of the Wood team, you will be responsible for duties such as, but not limited to:The overall production of electrical/I&C engineering deliverables such as specification, calculations, technical evaluations, reports, and drawingsProviding technical support across the business including to on-site construction, estimating, procurement, and project departmentsProvides technical advice on design processes, construction methods, and other technical areasAdvises on the development of new engineering methods and participates in short and long-range planningProviding guidance and mentoring to a team, potentially support in coaching, recruitment, and retention activitiesWe are looking for a Senior/Lead experienced in the detailed engineering and execution of medium to large scale EPCM projects in the critical minerals sector, with some experience in hydrometallurgical developments.
Your passion for working in dynamic and agile industries will see you drive a collaborative and cohesive working relationship between our clients and internal teams, to identify and deliver optimal solutions for project requirementsYou will also have:
Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institutionMember of Engineers Australia, or willing to work toward membershipDesign experience in wet and/or dry mineral processing plants, preferable not essentialSite experience either in construction, commissioning, or operations, is desired but not essentialPrior experience within cross alignment of mechanical /piping/pumps and hydraulic design engineering would be a desired skill set for wet plant processingAbility to problem-solve effectively and identify technical and safety-based risks, with a commitment to HSEWell-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering programsAbility to work to a timeframe and deliver on budgetFull working rights within AustraliaBenefits of joining #
