- Undertake detailed health, social and demographic analysis relating to health service planning by the Agency.
- Undertake major projects to support the Agency's objectives and strategic directions, including significant state and national processes.
- Provide high level support to managers and staff to ensure departmental units adopt systems and work practices which effectively manage health planning activities.
- Develop and undertake detailed social, demographic and policy analysis in relation to health service planning for the Agency.
- Manage the Agency's contribution to whole of government processes, the development and support of health planning across the State, Government initiatives and Agency priorities.
- In consultation with the Manager, Strategic Planning, Projects and Engagement, develop and maintain health planning frameworks and processes to ensure the development, management and implementation of service plans.
- Ensure that the development, dissemination and use of health-planning policy accords with Agency policy, including internal and external activities involving the Agency and relevant health system stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, briefings, submissions and discussion papers to support Agency service planning and for senior management, the Minister and Cabinet and other stakeholders as required.

The Health Planning Team:
Health Planning works collaboratively across the whole of the Tasmanian health system on reform programs to improve service delivery and improve the health and wellbeing of Tasmanians now and into the future. Health Planning delivers evidence-based planning to meet the health needs of the Tasmanian population and supports the development of contemporary models of care.
Details of Appointment
Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Salary:$124,371 - $130,905per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
