About the Cadetship:


Our Building + Facilities Planners contribute to an extraordinary Wollongong by supporting the development, planning, management and delivery of strategies and programs for Council's buildings and facilities across the Wollongong local government area.

We are looking for someone that can see the big picture and is interested in creating places for people to visit, play and live in.

As a cadet you will work with qualified asset portfolio managers, planners and engineers in diverse teams to develop innovative solutions throughout the city including asset management planning and scoping of a wide range of technical works associated with buildings, stormwater, civil and transport infrastructure.

Some of the buildings and facilities you will work on include administrative offices, commercial buildings, depots, libraries, community centres, leisure centres, parks and sportsgrounds, treated/rock pools playgrounds, public amenities, tourist parks and cemeteries.

We are looking for someone who...

  • Has completed at least one full time year (48 credit points) of an Engineering or Building and Construction degree as of 1 July 202
  • Has strong values and is a proactive selfstarter
