Key responsibilities of this role

  • Develop, implement and maintain effective administrative systems in the Branch, including systems relating to financial and human resources, performance reporting and business processes such as correspondence management. Contribute to the effective administration of the Branch including the maintenance of various registers while complying with statutory and departmental requirements. Provide timely, high quality advice and support to the Branch on facilities, financial and human resources, performance reporting and business systems, including the provision of financial reports, documents, presentations, briefs andcorrespondence as required. Provide effective cost centre management through the development, maintenance and review of office financial management systems including processing invoices for payment, monitoring cost centre expenditure, ensuring accountability for monies received and paid. Manage the business processes relating to the financial, human and physical resources of the Branch including preparation of budget forecasts, budget estimate and expenditure reconciliations, analysis of and resolution of discrepancies, and management of accommodation. Undertake appropriate personnel and workforce management duties, including provision of analysis, operational advice and support to senior officers and staff including provision of assistance with recruitment and selection, induction and staff exit requirements. Assist in the delivery and coordination of other business management functions and projects as required. Oversee and administer records management and information systems. Liaise with clients, Departmental officers and other government and nongovernment organisations as necessary. Implement and administer departmental information systems, including those in relation to clients, staffing, finance, administrative policy and procedures.
