The Opportunity
Now is an exciting time to join Stockland as we accelerate the execution of our Strategy.


Reporting into the GM, Group Treasurer this newly created role Is responsible for assisting to drive the delivery and management of high quality and accurate treasury services activities, including oversight of all aspects of treasury accounting, treasury operations, transaction banking and treasury systems.


Responsibilities include and not limited to:

  • Drive and manage the delivery of strategic policy, process and reporting activities across the treasury services function, supporting management of the Group's treasury function.
  • Manage the analysis and identification of shortterm funding requirements and oversee administration of these funding requirements (including preparation of notices and payments).
  • Oversee all treasury operations activities, including authorisations of payments, funds transfers, reconciliations, transaction banking management and treasury/payment system administration.
  • Manage all financial reporting of treasury activities, ensuring accurate records are maintained, reconciliations are undertaken, relevant accounting is applied, disclosures made & audit queries addressed.
  • Oversee and manage the preparation of timely and accurate reporting related to treasury activities, including (amongst others) maintenance of debt & derivative schedules, banking & signatories registers, marktomarket reporting as well as regular compliance & counterparty exposure reporting.
  • Develop, implement and maintain appropriate policies and procedures to ensure risks are mitigated and compliance with relevant business processes and controls, as well as coordinating management of risk & compliance matters/incidents and internal audit action items.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the treasury services team driving high performance, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and learning & development.
  • Liaise and develop effective relationships with all internal & external stakeholders.
  • Proactively initiate and drive continuous improvement across business processes and controls, management systems and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and controls; and
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks, including supporting M&A/capital transactions as required.

We are looking for an experienced leader with the ability to adapt in a changing and agile environment. You will have demonstrated ability to take accountability and ownership of multiple tasks.

You will be a proactive and outcome focused individual with the ability to collaborate and influence with a diverse group of peers and stakeholders.

In addition, you will have the following Skills, Qualifications and experience:


  • Experience in treasury, management and/or financial accounting roles.
  • Proven experience in engaging and managing a range of stakeholders in a business of similar scale & complexity.
  • Experience business partnering providing insightful analysis & recommendations.
  • Experience managing a team with a focus on developing high performance.
  • Experience with using SAP and/or Reval is desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification is required, such as in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics etc.
  • CA/CPA or equivalent accreditation is required
