    About the role

    We have an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent Technical Officer. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Management Lead. The Technical Officer will provide technical engineering advice and support to Logan Water's maintenance planning and delivery teams. This role will play an integral part in the improvement of compliance for water and wastewater assets and associated maintenance projects, ensuring safe and reliable delivery of water and wastewater services for the city of Logan.

    As the Technical Officer, you will have a diverse sweep of responsibilities, where the ability to exercise a degree of autonomy, identify and apply your technical knowledge of water supply and wastewater compliance are essential.

    To be successful for this role you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil/Mechanical Engineering (or relevant experience)
  • Current "C" class driver's licence.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the water and wastewater services or equal related service industry
  • Sound knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire, knowledge of Council's local laws, policies, programs, procedures, and practises
  • Experience or sound knowledge and understanding of GIS

  • While you do deliver quality technical expertise, you can easily translate complex information into simple concepts to better facilitate customer understanding and manage expectations
