We are looking for someone to strengthen the team in charge of organizing the biggest women's sporting event in the world:

the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia New Zealand 202- To ensure the successful operational delivery of the ninth edition of this competition, we have set up a Local FIFA Subsidiary (LFS).

Its aim is to improve the experience of over 1.1 billion people watching the FIFA Women's World Cup, by delivering innovative solutions across all operational areas.

  • As a VIP Hotel Venue Manager reporting to the Guest Experience Manager
  • Australia, this role is responsible for the planning for all V/VIP operations at the VIP Hotel, and delivering operations during tournament time, in close coordination with key internal and external stakeholders and service providers, as well as FIFA.

Your role as VIP Hotel Venue Manager includes the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all VIP hotel operations with emphasis on the Welcome Desk, arrivals and departures and the overall guest experience.
  • Ensure appropriate service of guests, in accordance with the established guest service levels.
  • Create and establish operational plans, policies and procedures while ensuring compliance of FWWC2023 Policy and service levels.
  • Communicate Guest Management Policies and Operational Plans to all relevant stakeholders at the site.
  • Understand FWWC2023 Incident Management Reporting System and escalation hierarchy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues according to policies and procedures with diplomacy, while ensuring guests have an exceptional experience.
  • Create reports, summaries and debrief documents as required.
  • Manage and provide support to the Guest Operations team where needed.
  • Work closely and communicate clearly with other functional areas where there are overlapping responsibilities and roles. (e.g. Security, Transport, Team Services and Competitions).
  • Provide support during busy periods to other FIFA VIP related events as required.
  • Create and develop rosters to ensure all areas are staffed.
  • Work closely with all team members to align on all logístical requirements.
  • Act as shiftmanager for the guest operations team at VIP Hotel for the FIFA Women's Football World Cup 202
  • Any other duties as required.

  • The specific competencies we require for this position are:

Qualifications & experience and skills

  • Relevant work experience in Hospitality and / or Event Management
  • Experience within a sport/event organisation, preferably a world class sport event
  • Familiarity with V/VIP environment, highend hospitality, and Guest Management
  • English fluency spoken and written (required)
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
  • Planning software and online collaboration tools (an asset)
  • Previous experience and ability to understand CADs and site plans
  • Good understanding of organisational processes and policies
  • Ability to resolve guest concerns expeditiously and independently
  • Ability to shape and deliver operational excellence in teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A collaborator who is able to foster good working relationships
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Good networking skills
  • Time management and the ability to prioritize a varied workload
