Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Holmesglen Institute's English Language Centre is a thriving and diverse teaching and learning community that is rebounding quickly from the effects of the pandemic.

Staff employed on a casual basis may be asked to undertake emergency teaching or spot gaps in the timetable arising from leave or other planned absences.

In many cases this arrangement leads to regular employment and a fuller role in which teachers support either our migrant settlement programs or those programs preparing international students for vocational training or higher education.

Our interests include teacher training, both domestically and internationally.

This exciting field is offering new opportunity for those with offshore delivery experience as well as those with newly inspired ambition for such pursuits.

We encourage expressions of interest.

The Teacher AMEP will plan and deliver English language and settlement topics within the EAL framework.

The Teacher ELICOS will plan and deliver English language classes that develop learners' English language and study skills for vocational or higher education studies within set timeframes.
