A well-established, Australian owned and managed company specialising in adhesive tapes, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their progressive and successful team.


Responsibilities:


  • Monitor machines and troubleshoot to ensure quality and performance are maintained.
  • Check and prepare raw materials for quality before loading into machine.
  • Check final product produced by machine to ensure quality.
  • Understanding the cause for any reduction in standards with machinery and how to rectify it.
- alert Supervisor and maintenance personnel of any problems that may arise.

  • Ensure materials are loaded and unloaded into the machine in a quick, efficient manner to limit downtime.
  • Ensure all slit product is packed in cartons, labelled and sealed before the end of each shift.
  • Complete production reports after each line is complete.
  • Ensure work personnel follow safe practices to ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues and clients.
  • Attend to despatch customers if noone else in the vicinity to uphold our service levels.
  • Perform shift changeovers with next operator in person.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by Production Manager.

Experience/Skills required:


  • Previous Machine Operating experience not essential with a willingness to be trained
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to take instruction
  • A 'can do' attitude
  • Punctuality, flexibility and honesty
  • Selfmotivated
  • Reliable and committed
  • A solid work ethic
  • Physically fit (some heavy lifting involved)
  • The ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • Clean drivers licence

Days:
Monday - Friday


Hours:9am - 5pm or 6am - 2pm


Hourly Rate:
$30 - $35


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)


Experience:


  • Machine operating: 1 year (preferred)

Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driver Licence (preferred)
  • Full Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (preferred)
