    Role: Data Governance and Management Partner
    Daily Rate:$1000 + Super
    Contract Length: Until June 28 (likely extension)
    Location: Macquarie Park/WFH Flex

    Join a forward-thinking NSW Government agency committed to excellence in data governance. As a Data Governance Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in shaping their data governance framework and driving best practices.

    Key Accountabilities

    1. Collaborate with Business Divisions and Project Teams:
      • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) to support consistent implementation of our Data Governance and Management Framework.
      • Work closely with domain leads, owners, and stewards to ensure alignment and effective execution of data governance initiatives.
    2. Facilitate Knowledge Sharing:
      • Organize governance forums and committees within the division/branch to share best practices.
      • Foster adoption of data governance principles across the organization.
    3. Data Classification and Critical Elements:
      • Define data classification standards and critical data elements within your domain.
      • Educate data owners on how to handle each element appropriately.
    4. Empower Data Owners and Stewards:
      • Help data owners and stewards understand and implement enterprise data governance processes.
      • Embed data governance practices into daily workflows.

    About You

    • Experience: Demonstrated experience in implementing Data Governance and Data Management. Exposure to tools like Collibra is a plus.
    • Communication Skills: Strong business communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
    • Government Experience: Prior experience in a government context is highly desirable.
