If so, you might be the person we are looking for to be an APS 6 Nuclear Regulatory Policy Officer within the Australian Nuclear Powered Submarine Regulatory Design team, located in Canberra ACT.


APS 6 Nuclear Regulatory Policy Officers are accountable to perform and achieve complex policy development work within the sphere of nuclear safety regulatory policy within an integrated workforce.

An APS 6 Nuclear Regulatory Policy Officer will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work.

They will be required to exercise initiative and judgement, and importantly achieve high quality outcomes.

As an APS 6 Nuclear Regulatory Policy Officer you will be required to demonstrate a range of skills, however the specific competencies below are considered critical to success within the ANPSRD.

  • Plan and organise set objectives, plan, establish contingencies, manage time, resources and people, and monitor progress.
