RAAF Base Williamtown is a Royal Australian Air Force (
RAAF) military air base located 15 km north of the coastal city of Newcastle in the local government area of Port Stephens, in New South Wales, Australia.

The base serves as the headquarters to both the Air Combat Group and the Surveillance and Response Group of the
RAAF.


This program allows Indigenous students from across the country an opportunity to get a taste of life as an Air Force Aviator.

The 1-day is program designed to give aspiring students aged 15-18 a comprehensive overview of life in the Air Force.

During the program students will be exposed to the day-to-day activities of an Air Force Aviator and will have the opportunity to experience Air Force lifestyle as a whole.

This dynamic program may include an overview of the roles available within the Air Force as well as practical activities such as:

  • Physical Training
  • Base squadron experiences
  • Team & Leadership skills
  • Information sessions about recruitment process
