We have an exciting opportunity for a 6+ year post admission experience taxation lawyer to join us as a senior practitioner in our taxation practice.
The role offers the opportunity to manage the delivery of tax advisory services across a range of tax matters and to a variety of clients.
You will work in a team environment, alongside our talented group of legal professionals.The role will involve providing taxation advisory services to individuals and entities active in various commercial fields.
You will engage with clients and their advisors to provide specialised taxation advice and represent our clients in their dealings with tax authorities.
Our taxation advisory practice provides the following services:
Advice on Australian direct and indirect tax.
Advice on transfer duty, landholder duty and other state taxes.
Assisting clients with managing federal and state tax reviews.
Representing clients in disputed tax matters.
Assisting clients with taxation structuring, including by leveraging our expertise in relation to trusts, business succession, insolvency, restructuring and transaction planning.
Who we are seeking to join our teamWe are seeking a motivated legal professional with demonstrated experience in taxation law, in an advisory capacity or by representing clients in disputed tax matters.
The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:Depth of experience in taxation law, either in private practice or government.
Strong project management skills and a focus on client service.
Excellent advisory and verbal communication skills.
Strong legal drafting skills and attention to detail.
Motivated professional with defined career progression objectives.
Ability to work both independently and in small teams.
Broad commercial focus, with the ability to demonstrate an understanding of business drivers.
