About the role

You will be responsible for extracting and integrating data from a variety of sources to develop and maintain a range of reports and analytics products for both internal and external stakeholders.

Other responsibilities include:

Work with big data sets (including MADIP) from a range of structured and unstructured sources to draw insights and develop visualisations.
Maintain a high level of record keeping and data management across a range of IT systems.
Prepare statistical reports, briefs, minutes, and other documents and to a high standard, managing data modelling and analysis projects, including managing and overseeing the work of a team with varying levels of data modelling expertise and utilising data to develop highquality and evidencebased analysis and reports.

About You

Proficiency in one or more programming languages (particularly SQL, R and/or Python) and the use of Excel to conduct analysis, and access to ABS DataLab environment.
Demonstrated experience working with big data sets from a range of structured unstructured sources to draw insights and develop visualisation.
Proven ability to interrogate modelling inputs and outputs and prepare analysis and advice.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High proficiency in the use of Databricks and SQL.
Demonstrated experience in working within MADIP and BLADE projects hosted by the ABS
A demonstrated ability to working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results, coordinating with team members and other support areas to provide resolution of issues, including the escalation of more complex issues to management and technical teams as required.
