- Lead a diverse team of professionals and manage multiple stakeholder relationships to ensure the development and delivery of Tronox's Maintenance strategies
- Drive sustainability and cost control efforts by identifying and implementing improvements in equipment and work procedures.
- Collaborate with planners and the reliability team to establish maintenance schedules, work procedures, downtime, critical items list, and spare part requirements.
- Develop and govern plan execution, in addition to manage best practice planning practices within maintenance and shutdown
- Take accountability for budgeting, cost control, planning, and the training and development of department employees.
- Provide cost information to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager to aid in developing the maintenance budget and generating long-term equipment activity schedules.
- Enhance and monitor work standards of planning team members, offering technical advice and assistance as needed.
- An electrical or mechanical qualification or trade, coupled with a proven track record in maintenance planning within large industrial environments.
- Previous exposure to a chemical manufacturing plant or similar high hazard facility.
- Adeptness at building robust relationships and influencing various facets of the business. Your influential leadership style will empower you to coach, develop, and inspire your team, drawing out their best qualities and fostering their growth.
- You'll excel in engaging with multiple stakeholders to craft strategic plans and translate them into actionable delivery plans. Your proficiency in strategic and operational planning will be pivotal, as you navigate complexities and opportunities.
- Experience leading diverse teams and strong exposure to scheduling and planning is highly desirable. Familiarity with contracts and contractor management will further enhance your ability to drive project success, in addition to demonstrated ability to lead and drive process change and improvements at an operational and commercial level.
- While a solid understanding of resource evaluation processes is advantageous, it's not a prerequisite. However, a shared passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence is essential for the successful candidate, driving the team towards excellence and pushing boundaries in pursuit of perfection.
- Confident user of SAP and MS Suites (MS project, Excel)

About the Role
Tronox is seeking a dynamic Planning Superintendent to lead our maintenance planning team at Kwinana.
