The Opportunity Boeing Defence Australia is now recruiting for the position of Wedgetail Capability Enhancements Commercial Manager based in Brisbane.


The role involves the following key responsibilities:

Responsibilities:


  • Management of all commercial and business matters for the Ph5A Program and new Wedgetail Minor Capability Orders, including financial and contractual requirements
  • Meeting customer and company requirements for business operations.
  • Leadership to and management of business team personnel.
  • Key member of the RAAF Wedgetail Leadership Team, contributing to the development of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Safeguards the financial integrity of the Program by implementing and maintaining the required business management procedures and practices and by using the appropriate tools and qualified personnel.
  • Facilitates effective business management practices by monitoring the quality and timeliness of financial and management reporting, and contracting and negotiating processes.
  • Effectively plans and manages business activities by producing and reviewing the project budgets, schedules, EACs, Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and longer term plans including input into the Long Range Business Plan (LRBP).
Experience/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and resolving business management issues including financial, contractual/subcontract and integrated scheduling matters.
  • Excellent communicator, people oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively while working to schedule commitments.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
  • A focus on continuous improvement and driving functional excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare highlevel management reports to identify issues, discuss options and recommend actions.
  • Relevant qualifications and/experience in commerce, finance, business law or business administration
