MAYDAY Recruitment is searching for a proactive and solutions-focused HR professional to work closely with the HR Manager, offering specialized HR assistance for a leading logistics company in Australia.

You will be responsible for providing guidance and support to the team around HR related matters to ensure business and operational goals are met.

Main responsibilities include:


  • Provide support and expert advice to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Respond to employee queries and request and resolve HR issues in a timely manner
  • Develop T&D programs and guide managers on effective performance management for employees
  • Provide support for new starters and onboarding process (i.e., HR documents, employment contracts and recruitment guide)
  • Ensure compliance to labour laws and regulation
  • Coordinate Employee engagement activities and events
  • Managing and updating all HR related system and databases regularly
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders
  • Keep up to date of the recruiting policies and implement new strategies to improve employer brand
  • Collaborate and provide support to external partners and HR members
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, management or similar is ideal
  • At least 2 years proven experience in HR generalist role
  • Knowledge and understanding of recruitment and HR practices
  • Experience and understanding of Employment Relations
  • Strong level of communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to make reasonable decisions
  • Wellorganized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Is innovative, looks for new ways to add value and contribute to positive change and advancement of the team
