Optus Customer Payment Support (CPS) is an Operational business unit, within Group Credit Risk (GCR).

The team are responsible for assisting and supporting Optus customers with the management of their financial commitments and obligations with Optus.

Reporting to the
GCR Collection Manager, the
GCR
Collections Officer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the following portfolios:

  • Wholesale
  • Dealers
  • Prepaid Services
  • Special Purpose
  • Next Gen
  • Optus Sport


The GCR Collections Officer protects the interests and success of Optus through reducing revenue leakage by contacting corporate customers who have overdue balances, experience hardship or vulnerability, assist customers with dispute resolution and perceived risk to Optus (Potential Fraud).

The GCR Collections Officer is responsible for the management of a collection's portfolio and the coordination with both internal and external stakeholders to manage dispute resolution effectively and efficiently.


Your skills and experience

  • Proven experience in Collections or Customer Facing role in telco / banking/ Utility industry
  • Past involvements in Credit/Billing/Collection system transformation programs
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively
