The role


This is a hands-on role that will spend time both at the front line of our operations and in the head office, conducting analysis of where we are and directing us to where we need to be.


Reporting to the Manager - Road Operations & Projects, the key deliverables for the role include:

  • Working with our transporters and subcontractors to implement CBH's Road Transport minimum standards and ensure compliance with the Western Australian Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (WAHVA) and Chain of Responsibility.
  • Conduct audits and inspections at sites to ensure WAHVA compliance and provide feedback to transporters and CBH management.
  • Verify heavy vehicles and subcontractor drivers compliance of the onboarding process.
  • Lead risk assessments to develop suitable control measures for road transport operations.
  • Monitor and assist with road transport incident investigations.
  • Check and verify onsite, contractor documents are correct.
  • Previous experience managing road transport regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, including previous experience managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • The ability to hold themselves and others accountable for safety and compliance.
  • A solid working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility requirements and the legislation that support WAHVA.
  • Experience with a variety of computer systems and technology, including the Microsoft Office suite and Apple products.
  • The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A mechanical or road trucking background (desirable, but not essential).
  • A MC heavy vehicle truck licence (desirable, but not essential).
