An exciting opportunity exists to join the second largest municipality in Melbourne's metropolitan west. Located about 20 kms from the central business district, Brimbank City Council is culturally diverse.


We are currently seeking a Permanent Part Time Venue Service Officer (20 hours per week) to join our team based at our offices in St Albans Community Centre and Bowery Theatre.


Compensation:
Band 4A 36 Hour Week AUD $66,471 to $71,279 pro rata


The role:

Reporting to the Venue Service Officer Team Leader, we are seeking an exemplary person who can bring their skills and experience as:

This position works within a small team with the primary purpose to provide excellent customer service in the venue's Front of House areas.

The role assists in maintaining a welcoming environment and a high level of friendly, efficient and excellent customer service for all visitors, patrons, hirers and stakeholders at the venue.

Through this work the role ensures the smooth running of the Centre on a day-to-day basis.


About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to work in accordance with our values and behaviours
  • A formal qualification in service and office administration and/or solid experience in a customer service, theatre or community facility environment
  • Demonstrated experience in working positively within a small customer service team in a similar setting
  • High level organizational skills and ability to manage a number of tasks concurrently
  • High level of computer literacy particularly in relation to the Microsoft Office suite, room & ticket booking systems and databases
  • Able to contribute to developing, and implementing, office systems.
  • High level of spoken and general presentation skills.
  • Have, or be prepared to acquire, satisfactory levels of First Aid and CPR, & Police and Working with Children Checks
  • Local government experience is desirable
