Key duties of this role include;

  • Accept statutory appointment as an Electrical Supervisor and ensure compliance with associated statutory responsibilities.
  • Supervise and coordinate the electrical activities ensuring productive and quality work outputs.
  • Supervise and coordinate regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Supervise critical HV and LV electrical maintenance tasks ensuring the work is completed safely and on time.
  • Assist, guide and mentor the team as required and provide hands on assistance as required.
  • Liaise closely with the superintendent, and process team to prioritise electrical services.
  • Assist in work planning, scheduling and resource allocation with a focus on the weekly electrical maintenance plan.
  • Understand the monthly process forecast and communicate plant targets with the maintenance team.
  • Ensure employees receive adequate training and instruction to perform their work.
  • Discharge of obligations under Section 44 of the WA Mines Safety & Inspections Act
  • Compliance with WA Mines Safety and Inspections Act and Regulations and Duty of Care.

To be successful in this role you must have:

Preferably a minimum 5 years Supervisory experience
:


  • WA 'A' Class Electrical License.
  • High Voltage Operators Accreditation.
  • Cert IV in Instrumentation Preferred.
  • Section 44 Appointed person.
  • Electrical Nominee Appointed person.
  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or equivalent preferred.
  • Construction induction white card.
  • Current Australian 'C' class manual Drivers License.
  • Proven financial, risk, commercial, contractual and human resource management skills.
  • Strong proven qualities of leadership, integrity, loyalty and performance management.
  • Proven performance on successful projects with an exemplary safety track record.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawing and faultfinding control circuits.
  • Ability to mentor and lead a team of electricians.
