An opportunity has arisen for a

Cost Controller to join our team. The primary purpose of the role is to provide cost performance analysis for works in progress.


As the Cost Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of works in progress including cost control metrics, forecasting and variance analysis.


You will be responsible for:


  • Monitor, track, forecast and report on project costs and trends.
  • Provide analysis and reporting to allow sounds decisions to be made on cost related matters effecting project financial performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, project controls, site personnel and other stakeholders.
  • Implement the cost management system, processes, and procedures to ensure a consistent approach to project cost control, budget tracking, forecasting, cashflow and performance analysis.
  • Management of the project cost and progress reporting process to provide consistent, accurate and timely reporting to the project management team including identification of any required actions to maintain approved baseline targets.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with Contractors and Scope Owners as required, guiding the team in all cost related issues. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cost control.

To be successful in this role you must possess the following key requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite of products and ERP systems, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Strong timemanagement skills and multitasking abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
