We have designed, created and managed award-winning exhibition stands for clients from a wide range of industries in Australia and internationally.

The role


We have a newly created position and are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Business Operations Manager to join our team.

Based in Rydalmere, you will be responsible for the commercial management and implementation of commercially viable solutions with internal stakeholders.


Responsibilities
Provide leadership and assistance across departments to develop, coordinate, and implement sound commercial objectives and practices. You will be a critical point of contact that coordinates within and across geographies.


General Office Administration & Management

  • Oversee the various registers, databases and systems, including providing direction and support to the administration staff
  • Develop and implement Process improvements and policy changes
  • Business Planning and commercial management
  • Oversee the daytoday operations, drive operational rigour across activities and have full P&L and balance sheet responsibility
  • Oversight and management of the accounting team, including AP/AR/Invoicing
  • Review, advise, and manage commercial terms and agreements
  • Drive the preparation and monitoring of business plans and KPI's
  • Develop pricing recommendations and review of competitive benchmarks
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of management and production reporting
  • Assess and analyze budgets and cost drivers to find ways to minimize costs and improve margins
  • Manage the implementation of operating plans that supports both tactical and strategic improvements
  • Develop and monitor production efficiency and productivity metrics
  • Oversee the compliance activities for both Australian and Philippines office

Procurement

  • Oversee vendor management and sourcing needs and be the primary interface for sourcing and strategic suppliers for organizational needs.
  • Manage the supplier onboarding processes
  • Manage commercial term negotiations

IT and Tech

  • Management of information technology solutions, equipment and suppliers to the business processes. Including software subscriptions and licenses.
  • Drive the identification and mitigation of IT and data risks
  • Identify local product needs and work with teams to implement improvements
  • Develop and lead the procurement strategy and team to ensure competitive business growth

Human Resource planning

  • Champion and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance employee engagement
  • Manage employee contracts, renewals, and salary/benefit negotiations
  • Oversee professional development and periodic employee performance reviews
  • Ensure resource planning and strategic initiatives are aligned

About you

  • Ability to make sound commercial decisions independently
  • Strong financial literacy
  • Ability to digest and advise on contractual and legal documents
  • Solid negotiation skills and ability to develop robust working relationships
  • Highly organised and focused
  • Ability to identify & prioritise complex problems and issues

  • Drive a datafirst culture in decision making
  • Proven history of developing highperforming teams
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain initiatives
  • An agency background would be favourable

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of strong leadership capabilities with strong financial acumen
  • A similar role in either Marketing industry, film or tv industry, manufacturing experience
  • Experience in managing offshore teams would be favourable but not necessary.
