***Our client is a well-respected and reputable government organization that are well known across NSW. They provide top-notch services across the state and are currently seeking an IT Procurement Specialist to start on a 6-month contract ASAP

The Job.
***Reporting through to the Line Manager, in this position you will be responsible for:
  • Providing procurement knowledge and delivering end user environment procurement practices and procedures that support the operational and business requirements of the department.
  • Conducting sourcing activities in line with business unit policies and procedures to meet departmental needs.
  • Participating in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money procurement outcomes.
  • Validating stakeholder business needs, compiling market information, analysing markets and assessing risks to make informed procurement planning and strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Implementing contract management plans, resolve issues and negotiate contract variations by building effective supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes.
  • Providing specialist advice and guidance on procurement matters to agency staff.
  • Identifying, mitigating and escalating risks to meet organisational obligations and increase business opportunities.
  • Managing the Asset Management System, maintaining accurate and uptodate records.
  • Updating procurement records and generating reports on procurement and contract activities in line with business unit compliance requirements.

You.
***To be successful in this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas & possess the below personal qualities:
  • Minimum 12 months of experience in a Procurement position.
  • Experience working within the IT or Government sectors would be highly advantageous.
  • Ability to confidently work across multiple systems and databases.
  • Strong customer service and problemsolving skills.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to stay focused in a highvolume environment.
