Our client is a large NSW Government organisation who are seeking Talent Design Specialist to join their team.


The Talent Design Specialist is responsible for developing and deploying a suite of tools, templates and programs to support talent design and build talent acquisition capability in hiring managers and People and Safety Team.

**Key Responsibilities: - Liaise closely with the business to identify areas for improvement that will be used as the basis for developing and prioritizing initiatives across the NSW Department.

  • Research industry, private and public sector Talent Design practices to identify potential solutions and organisational improvements for the NSW Department.
  • Devise and implement a range of tools and frameworks to support organisation wide initiatives and the effective development across the Department.
  • Obtain and analyse role related information (generic PD's and library) and use this to write roles that ensure internal grading consistency.
  • Draft and contribute to the design of a wide range of tools, templates and engagements (for example in areas including support succession planning, internships, graduate programs, career pathways, vendor management) in order to support Talent Design across the NSW Department.
  • Investigate industries to identify trends and issues that will inform the development of contemporary tools, templates and engagements.
  • Build a dashboard of talent acquisition metrics and best practice methodologies that align with business outcomes e.g. performance, engagement, diversity in order to support evidence based organisational strategies.
  • Develop and publish talent acquisition ways of working and categories of service between P&S and hiring managers to support capability building across the organisation.
  • By example, lead the development of a safe, healthy and inclusive work environment, including implementation and review of appropriate strategies and measures.
  • Place the customer at the centre of all decision making.
  • Work with the Line Manager to develop and review meaningful performance management and development plans
**Selection Criteria: - Degree qualification in related field or equivalent significant experience.

  • Relevant industry knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.


On offer is a 6 month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
