The Company:

People2people are excited to be working with a leading specialist in high hazard protection and equipment.

They are seeking an experience Fire Technician who will oversee, manage, implement, and deliver the installation, maintenance, rectification works required for special hazard systems.


About the role:


Duties include but are not limited to:
Inspecting, testing, servicing, reporting, upgrading, and assisting in the management of:

  • Gaseous Suppression Systems
  • Fire Extinguisher and Blankets
  • Kitchen Suppression Systems
  • Vehicle Suppression Systems
  • Industrial Fire Systems
  • Review the job requirements prior to attending site and liaising with Administration / Service Manager to ensure the required BOM and equipment will be in the warehouse prior to commencement of works,
  • Assist with the installation, servicing, and repairs of the required fire systems the branch operates on
  • Manage the warehouse stock for pipework, fittings etc and ensure there is enough on hand in accordance with minimum amounts required.
  • Manage the Pty product and ensure there is enough stock in the warehouse
  • Manage the stock of installation and service boxes / bags to ensure they are fully complete and ready for works
  • Oversee and ensure recurring checklists are being completed within due date.
  • Installation and commissioning documentation to be supplied to administration within 24hrs.
  • Coordinate with Administration / Service Manager for scheduling of service and installation works

Essential Criteria:


  • Experience in fire special hazard systems in all aspects
  • Trade experience working on construction site
  • Professional approach
  • Presentation to your clients & peers is clean & tidy
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to provide quality customer service
  • Basic computer skills are required using Word, Excel, Internet search programs and any company specifics or tablet requirements
  • Familiar with all the Australian Standards relevant to Special Hazards.

Other requirements and information pertaining to role - if you do not have the following, the training will be given to aquire this:

  • Manual driver's licence
  • White Card within the first 2 weeks
  • ASIC Card between the 612 weeks period of starting
  • MSIC Card within the first 6 weeks of starting
  • Cert 2 in Asset Maintenance Fire Protection Equipment between the first months of starting
  • Auditor Training within the first 6 weeks of starting & periodically thereafter
  • Auditor Training Site Survey Form within the first 6 weeks of starting & periodically thereafter
  • Kitchen System Training within the first 6 weeks & periodically thereafter
  • Gas systems training to be completed between wks & 612 periodically thereafter
  • Vehicles / industrial to completed between wks 1218 & periodically thereafter
  • Fire blankets and extinguishers to be completed between wks 1218 & periodically thereafter
  • The position includes a company vehicle, mobile phone, tablet
  • All tooling required and company uniforms
