JBS Australia's Northern Division operates five strategically-placed processing facilities as well as five feedlots across Queensland and New South Wales.

With access to an extensive network of cattle, JBS has the ability to meet the specific demands of various market segments with an extensive range of grain-fed and pasture-fed beef brands.

The JBS Northern grain fed business has a carrying capacity of 145,00 head of cattle with 15 different feeding programs and employs approximately 200 employees.

About the role:

JBS is looking for a Grainfed Business Analyst who is passionate about using data and insights to drive productivity and performance outcomes to produce world class branded beef.

This is a unique opportunity to work for Australia's largest fully integrated feedlot and processing business, where you will support the business to deliver feedlot efficacies, cattle performance improvements, optimise carcass specifications and improve grading and meat quality outcomes.

You will work collaboratively across livestock procurement, 5 feedlot teams, abattoir operations, sales, finance and business analysis teams, to drive these outcomes.

Essential to the role is the ability to critically analyse operational data, and to effectively present insights and communicate these to the business.

You will have an eye for detail, a curiosity to learn and a desire to grow within the business.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Data Management and Reporting

Daily monitoring and reporting on key operational performance metrics
Monitor and report on the performance of cattle from feedlot induction through to chiller assessment
Develop site operational reports and high level dashboards for the senior management
Assist with the livestock allocation and business forecasting program

Data Analysis and Business insights

Critically analyse feedlot and business performance and develop business insights to drive productivity improvements
Together with management team develop recommendations on business and process improvement
Assist in the further development and maintenance of our feeder cattle supplier data base
Assist the feedlot teams in building business knowledge and developing best practice in feeding, animal health and cattle inventory management.

Support management with project delivery and business goals

Support R&D and new technology adoption projects
Support the business deliver its sustainability goals though provision of data and insights

About you

Tertiary qualification in Commerce, AgriBusiness, Ag Science degree or similar
Experience in an analyst or similar role, with a minimum of 23 years' experience
Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
Experience with data reporting tools (e.g. Power BI or equivalent) is desirable
Ability to prioritise, multiskill and work in a fastpaced environment
Ability to identify basic cause & effect relationships with strong analytical skills
Strong commercial acumen to ensure datainformed decision making
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Selfstarter with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
Must be energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement
