About the Role

Southern Cross Care WA contributes to social, health and economic development by enabling the delivery of integrated services in our community for the increasingly complex health, care and accommodation needs of our ageing population and those living with mental illness in Western Australia.

In a timely and safe manner, the Bus Driver transports residents and staff to locations according to the weekly bus schedule, and to other locations as directed from time to time by the manager, and to be involved in the smooth operations and running of designated buses in the company.

This is a full-time position based mainly in Shelley, with the potential to drive to other locations.

We'll also be asking you to:

Transport residents and staff to designated locations in a timely and safe manner, abiding by the Road Traffic Act WA.
Adhere to a bus schedule so as to pick up passengers within the allocated time frame.
Conduct new driver orientations for volunteer drivers or other drivers.
Maintain a current bus schedule and calendar, liaising with residential facility staff and village manager.
Gather and process monthly bus charges supplied by the sites and forward them to our finance department.
