Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Conference and Events Operations Manager to join our team on a 12 month parental leave contract.

This is a 'hands on' role and working alongside your team you will deliver exceptional service to our guests making their experience at the Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach "Magnifique".

The Role

Ensuring conference, functions and events are operated in an efficient and profitable manner
Ensuring team members are trained and competent in all service procedures to ensure a luxury guest experience
Ensuring the ordering and replenishment of all stock required for the efficient and smooth running of the department i.e. bar and floor.
Liaising with customers and Chef/Kitchen brigade to ensure service times are adhered to
Monitoring the financial results of the department, managing and forecasting wage costs and all other expenses
Working closely with the Conference and Events team to ensure smooth transitions from planning to execution

Qualifications:

What you need to be successful

To ensure your success in this pivotal role you will have experience in a similar role, exceptional personal grooming and presentation, display polished communication skills and have a passion for providing service in a luxury environment.
