    MAYA DA DHABA RESTAURANT

    Position: Full-time Cook

    An opportunity to join as a fulltime Cook at a busy Indian restaurant in Surry Hills area.

    Key duties:

    • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to the restaurant's menu and chef's specifications.
    • Ensure the ingredients and spices are used in accurate proportions to create authentic flavors.
    • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring cleanliness of food preparation areas.
    • Coordinate with the kitchen team to manage inventory and procure ingredients as needed.
    • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of dishes.
    • Participate in menu planning and the development of new dishes.
    • Adhere to all food safety regulations and standards.

    Looking for:

    • Must have at least two years of relevant working experience
    • At least Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Passion for food preparation and delivering high-quality dishes to customers.
    • Culinary school certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
