About the role

We are looking for a motivated and creative Cook to join our catering team at our Waverley location.

As the Cook, you will be accountable for the preparation, delivery, and service of delicious and nutritious meals that cater to customer preferences.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Food preparation, service, delivery, and collection
• Compliance with the Food Safety Program
• Following Speech Pathology recommendations
• Managing storage and inventory
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Coordinating kitchen equipment maintenance
• Ensuring effective communication with stakeholders
• Providing excellent customer service and handling feedback

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A valid Criminal Record Check
• Completion of a Certificate III or IV in Hospitality / Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• At least two (2) years of experience as a Cook in Aged Care / Commercial kitchen settings
• Strong communication skills with a focus on cultural sensitivity
• Knowledge of current HACCP guidelines
• Experience in various cooking styles and dietary requirements
• Proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and service for large groups
• Capability to supervise catering staff and manage their tasks
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
