DESF provides staff to various SIL Providers in WA with services from administration to disability support workers.


Description:


The Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a House Coordinator in the Perth area.

This role falls under the Administration department and is categorised as Disability Support Staff.

As a Permanent - Full Time position, the House Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our residential facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the residential facility, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents with disabilities.
  • Supervise and support staff members to ensure highquality care and support services are consistently provided.
  • Monitor the individualised care plans for the Participants, in accordance with the NDIS guidelines.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as reporting and maintaining accurate records.
  • Promote an inclusive and empowering culture within the facility, fostering independence and personal growth for residents.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Facilitate team meetings to address any operational or residentspecific concerns and maintain open communication channels among staff members.
  • Act as a point of contact for families or guardians of residents, addressing any enquiries or issues in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the organisation to ensure seamless coordination of support services for residents.

Skills and Experiences:


  • Proven experience in coordinating and managing residential support services
  • Excellent understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, including rostering and staff management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in disability support
  • Experience in liaising with external stakeholders such as families, health professionals, and community services
  • Competent IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
