_ About the Role_


The Application Support Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of Application Administrators, other support staff and providing technical and operational support to the business by enhancing and maintaining the business systems.

The position also provides project support, event support, and helps drive a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

The key aspect of this role is to enable the team to deliver high level of technical support by solving problems and working towards a resolution to meet customer expectation.

This role will be required to build and maintain a strong relationship with key stakeholders including internal IT teams, internal divisional teams, external suppliers and support providers.

_Key knowledge and experience_

  • Demonstrate strong technical understanding, especially on Microsoft platforms such as.
Net, IIS, Power platform, SharePoint etc.

including database knowledge such as MS SQL Server and Oracle.- Knowledge of Kentico Xperience web content management and Azure will be very well regarded.


  • ITIL V3 or V4 certification or equivalent skills and experience.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders efficiently and convey technical matters to nontechnical users simply and clearly.

_ Essential Requirements_
To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology.
  • Extensive experience working in a senior Application Support team role responsible for providing L2/L3 technical support across a broad range for complex business systems.
  • Demonstrated experience or capability to manage a small team.
  • Politically neutral with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check result.

This role is based in at our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office with a hybrid work arrangement.

**The NSW Electoral Commission requires all workers to be vaccinated for COVID-19. You must have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination by the commencement of your engagement or prior to first attending at a NSWEC location. You must produce evidence of your vaccination status for inspection when you attend for work. You may also be required to provide evidence of booster vaccine doses, in due course, and any such arrangements will be notified to you separately.
