We are seeking an ambitious and client centric individual in Sydney or Singapore with a real passion for analytics and technology to join our highly skilled team.

You will work with colleagues with diverse backgrounds from various countries across locations who deliver our analytics offering to our clients worldwide.

Organisationally, you will report into the Reinsurance Solutions central team in Singapore but be part of a wider Solutions community with relationships in APAC and globally.

As a Risk Consultant, APAC your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Support risk consulting projects throughout the insurance value chain for Swiss Re's clients, including go-to-market strategies, risk assessments, pricing reviews, or portfolio steering, under the guidance of senior team members.

Your tasks could be:

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to assist in addressing our clients' key priorities and business challenges;
  • Assist in determining appropriate methods and actuarial strategies to support decisionmaking processes, aid in implementation, and ensure successful project outcomes;
  • Assist in data scouting and preparation, as well as the integration of existing tools and methods into solution approaches; and
  • Assist in coordinating research, surveys, and interviews to gain insights into specific insurance markets and businesses.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholder groups;
  • Compile and present of information verbally, visually and in writing to communicate clear and actionable insights to senior stakeholders of Swiss Re's clients, demonstrating the ability to convey technical and complex concepts to less technical audiences;
  • Work together with crossfunctional team (technical and nontechnical) on client engagements; and
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, development and best practices in actuarial science.

Your skills profile

  • 25 years' experience in the insurance market, having worked for a consultancy, insurance, broker, model vendor or analytics company;
  • Advanced degree and education with quantitative background (e,g, Actuarial, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics);
  • Experience in a clientfacing role while working with crossfunctional, interdisciplinary, and virtual teams;
  • Analytical problemsolving skills, cando attitude and ability to assimilate complex information;
  • Experience in R or Python is an advantage;
  • Proficiency in English. Other Asian languages are a strong plus; and
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally
