We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Change & Innovation Consultant at Perth CBD Office on a Permanent Full-Time basis.


About this role


As the Change & Innovation Consultant, you will work with employees from across Western Power to develop and embed innovative projects within the organisation and drive value into the organisation.


This role will focus on the technical development of a wide range of digital solutions and digital components of broader initiatives.

Therefore, we are looking for innovators with a background in one of the following disciplines, or similar:


  • Software development
  • UI development
  • Digital prototyping
  • Data engineering
  • Data analytics
  • Robotics


The purpose of this position is to accelerate the execution of innovation and change initiatives through designing and developing lean prototypes to support rapid experimentation.

The position will also contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of relevant initiative deliverables, assist to embed innovation within the organisation, and maximise the realisation of the business or community value from innovation initiatives.


  • Design and develop lean prototypes for digital solutions in your area of expertise.
  • Provide observations on the feasibility, viability and desirability of assigned initiatives and business wide program activities.
  • Support the innovation capability of the business by challenging the status quo through experimentation and evidenceled proposals.
  • Focus on maintaining a lean approach to innovation by proposing rightsized experiments to validate our most uncertain assumptions on innovation initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accurately identify stakeholders needs, respond with empathy and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and integrity.
  • Ensure that all project / program documentation is completed appropriately.
  • Contribute to managing and continuously improving our innovation process, methods and tools.

About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Innovation, Change Management or related discipline
  • An experienced professional with sound experience and knowledge (at least 5+ years) guiding and supporting organisations in executing strategy
  • Project Management experience and knowledge to required initiative level
  • Innovative and creative problemsolving skills and the ability to provide workable solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A Be Bold attitude an openness to new ideas
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
