Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is seeking an experienced Receipting Supervisor as we continue to develop our strategic finance function.

This exciting opportunity to join the experienced and dynamic Revenue Team exists for an enthusiastic and dedicated person who holds a strong interest in and commitment to a wide variety of accounts receivable and finance related processes.

What you'll be doing


Working under broad direction from the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Receipting Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the receipting team including overseeing the provision of general administrative duties, fast, accurate and timely data entry, invoicing, receipting, follow up, and other miscellaneous general duties including archival of documents within the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD).

  • Certificate lll in Accounts Administration and/or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience along with advanced computer skills and familiarity in respect of cashiering and receipting functions including a solid working knowledge of accounting and billing systems such as ORACLE and PBRC.
  • Experience with supervising a team to provide a high quality, professional and customer focused service including the capacity to prioritise the team's work based on organisational priorities and service delivery imperatives. Capability in developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) related to staff processing and financial management.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer focused service skills that includes a good telephone manner and the ability to deal courteously, confidently and professionally with a variety of people and a solid negotiation technique. Competent written communication skills including, accurate spelling, good comprehension and report writing ability and composition.
  • Welldeveloped time management skills and ability to organise work to meet position and team KPI deadlines and a demonstrated ability to take direction and work with mínimal direct supervision.
  • Sound analytical and problemsolving skills and confidence to use own initiative to adapt to competing and changing work priorities. Demonstrated ability to bring a creative approach to overcome difficult situations and complications.
  • Intermediate practical skills and knowledge of using MS Office 2010 products including Excel, Word and Outlook. Proficient experience in using databases, developing reports using EXCEL and undertaking data analysis and providing advice with respect to trends and identified service issues.
  • Strong administrative skills with an aptitude for attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy and reliability of data entry.
