At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people.

From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry.

Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Your future role

Reporting to the Non-Conformity Manager, the Non-Conformity Operator will assist the team to monitor the process of non-conformities on purchased parts from ERP containment to purchase order placement and through all the reverse logistics flow.

This is a full time permanent role, based at our Manufacturing Site in Dandenong.

A bit about your new role:

  • Reduce the backlog of NCR to be sent to the suppliers to the minimum
  • Perform the stock movements (restrictions, transfer, scrap)
  • Place and monitor NCR orders for new parts, warranty, repairs in ERP (GSI), follow up quotations and lead times
  • Ensure lead times are respected for repair orders
  • Manage the reverse logistics back to the supplier with the outbound shipment team
  • Prioritize urgencies according to production lines needs and challenge material planners when a NC generates a missing part
  • Ensure accuracy of NCR purchase orders to reduce the risk of good reception discrepancies
  • Animate daily and weekly meetings with the involved stakeholders
  • Ensure product integrity for transfer from production line to restricted area, during restricted area storage and until shipment to the supplier
  • Reports state of blocked stock to Material Management

All about you:

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill.

Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Graduated at least from Higher Education in Quality or Supply Chain
  • SAP experience.

Things you'll enjoy:

Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through awardwinning learning
You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you'll be proud. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you

What we can offer:

  • 18 weeks paid parental leave
  • Free gym membership
  • Flexible working options

  • Volunteer Day

  • A paid day off once a year to volunteer in your local community

  • ME Day
